Airlines have been named Best Airline in the World for the sixth time, at the 2021 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Qatar Airways said, in a tweet on its Twitter account, today, Tuesday: "We are pleased to announce once again winning the award for the best airline in the world for the sixth time."


Qatar Airways also won four awards from Skytrax 2021 at the business class level for the waiting lounge, cabin, seat and dining, in addition to the award for the best airline in the Middle East.


According to Skytrax, this award "is the result of the incredible work done by the Qatar Airways team."


And he stated that being named "Best Airline in the World" for the sixth time is a huge achievement, and provides passengers with greater confidence in their ability to travel with Qatar Airways as the first global airline to obtain a flight safety rating.


Qatar Airways was named Best Business Class in the World, Best Business Class Seat in the World, and Best Airline in the Middle East.


Edward Plaisted of Skytrax said: "Qatar Airways being named Best Airline in the World 2021 is a great recognition of Qatar Airways' high standards, and winning this accolade for the sixth time is a remarkable achievement."

Yesterday, Monday, Qatar Airways announced that freight revenues had doubled and operating losses had decreased by 7% during the fiscal year ending in March 2021, despite the fact that its losses had doubled twice during the same fiscal year, reaching 14.9 billion riyals ($4.1 billion).
