The British Pound stabilized against most of the major currencies during Thursday's trading in a positive manner despite the announcement of the suspension of Brexit negotiations with the European Union.
Sources reported to the "Guardian" newspaper that one of the officials participating in the "Brexit" negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom had contracted the Coronavirus, which forced the officials to end the talks immediately and undergo medical swabs to ensure that their tests were positive or not.
The former British Prime Minister, "Gordon Brown", called on his current counterpart, "Boris Johnson," the need to take more strict measures to contain or control the Corona virus.
In a related context, scientists at the University of "Oxford" and the "AstraZenikia" company confirmed that the vaccine undergoing tests and development between the university and the company has shown promising results in the prevention of the coronavirus.
In terms of trading, the pound sterling settled positively against the US currency by 21:18 GMT at 1.3269, and the British currency recorded its highest price today at 1.3280, while the lowest price was recorded at 1.3198.
