Royal Air Force acquires anti-missile and "Drone" radars

Morocco possesses a group of American "F-16" aircraft, which represent the pillar of the Royal Air Force, due to its qualitative addition to the offensive and defensive style of the military system. With updates to the F-16 Fighting Falcon, Morocco will become an air force in the region, by providing "jet" equipment against any potential attack.

The US "Fighting Falcon" is one of the most heavily armed jet service aircraft. America is heading towards modifications of the F-16 aircraft by providing advanced radars called "Saber", which are radars that enjoy a high level of accuracy and resistance to interference and concealment against opponent radars.

The theoretical range of the Saber radars is 230 miles and can also conduct large-scale surface surveys. The U.S. Air Force has requested at least 372 more APG-83 aircraft for $ 1 billion ($ 2.7 million each) to update additional F-16 squadrons.

The new radars will also be installed on F-16s in Bahrain, Greece, Indonesia, Korea, Morocco and Singapore, and have been proposed for B-1, B-52 and FA-18C / D Hornet launchers. By comparison, "cruise missiles" that land with low ground flying are slower than ballistic missiles.

The SABR radar also greatly improves the effectiveness of the F-16 as it moves, and in particular it improves its capabilities against cruise missiles and drones.

With a budget of 160 million dirhams, Lockheed Martin Military Industries has previously upgraded the F16 military fighters and supplied them with modern military equipment for use in combat operations. It was brought to Morocco after the end of the maintenance and modernization phase of one of the American military bases, according to the website "Defensa".

Morocco has previously acquired 400 “M220A2” anti-armor missile launchers, “TOW” bombers, more than 2,400 “TOW2A” radio frequency missiles, in addition to 28 “TOW2A” radio frequency missiles, and 400 “ITAS” enhanced targeting system missile launchers ".

Morocco also aspires to acquire the Patriot missile system, which represents a surface-to-medium missile defense system, designed to counter all air threats, whether by fighter or drones, ballistic missiles, or even "raft" missiles.

The Moroccan army lacks any long-range air defense system, unlike neighboring Algeria, which in recent years has acquired a very sophisticated Russian and Chinese missile system, which makes this deal the first of its kind.

Turkey seeks to thwart Hifter's plot in Libya

The Turkish Foreign Minister warned that the Libyan conflict threatens to slide the country into "chaos", while a source in the National Accord government denied the presence of Syrian fighters in its ranks, and the United Nations mission condemned the targeting of civilian facilities in the west of the country.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşo أوlu warned that the Libyan conflict threatens to slide the country into anarchy and become the next Syria, as he seeks to accelerate the passage of legislation allowing Ankara to send troops there. "If Libya becomes today like Syria, then the role will come on other countries in the region," Gawishoglu said in statements during a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party on Saturday. He added, "We must do everything necessary to prevent the division of Libya and its descent into chaos, and this is what we do." The legitimate government there is what we are dealing with. " He stressed the importance of the military and security agreement that Turkey signed with Libya.

Gawishoglu will meet with three leaders of the opposition parties tomorrow, and Parliament is expected to discuss legislation within the next week, while the Turkish president had previously announced that the date is the eighth and ninth of next month.

In a related context, the media office of the President of the Presidential Council of the National Accord Government denied the authenticity of the video records that are being circulated on some social media pages, which show some Syrian fighters in a camp, and claim that they are in Libya. In a statement published this morning (Sunday, December 29, 2019), the office pointed out the need for local and international news channels to prove and ensure that the recordings were taken in the Syrian city of Idlib, without reference to the names of the channels. In the statement, the Government of National Accord confirmed its prosecution of all those who contribute to the dissemination of these lies and other slanders, as described, considering the publication of these records as a desperate attempt to distort the victories achieved by its forces.

The situation in Libya between internal fighting and terrorist attacks

It seems that Libya still lacks the elements of a country. The country is still floundering in internal fighting and this is what terrorist groups exploit and like gangs operating in the field of human trafficking and secret immigration

The international community has not tried hard to force the conflicting parties to power to sit on the table and come out with clear decisions, as if some countries are benefiting from the Libyan situation. We saw how the conflict between France and Italy intensified over Libya, as Russia is trying to find a strong ally defending its interests. Gas, oil and the reconstruction of the country are all things that tempt everyone to have an ally inside Libya

There are those who bet on Haftar as a strong man capable of reuniting Libya and there are those who defend the government of reconciliation

Waiting for a final solution, Libya is suffering from militias and terrorist bombings, as it has today
At least three people were killed and others injured in an attack by suicide bombers on the headquarters of the Libyan Foreign Ministry in the capital Tripoli.

Large explosions were heard in the vicinity of the ministry and smoke was seen in the sky, local residents said.

"Three attackers opened fire on the building before two of them could enter and detonate themselves inside, and the ministry guards killed the third attacker," Reuters quoted a security source as saying.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up on the third floor of the building, ministry sources told the BBC.

The Libyan health ministry said the attack killed three civilians and wounded 11 others.

The flames rose from the building amid intensive security measures while the wounded were taken to the hospital.

Libya's Foreign Ministry condemned the attack in a statement saying "the Libyan people are fighting a war on terrorism on behalf of the world.
