The official said the United States would accept any vaccines approved by the World Health Organization even if the vaccination has not been implemented in the United States, including Russian and Chinese vaccines that have limited data on their effectiveness against the delta variant.


To help trace CDC contacts, airlines flying to the United States will be required to keep contact information handy, so they can follow up with air travelers if they are likely to be infected.
