Food trends at Anuga

It may make horse lovers feel nauseous, however, the protein steaks made from horse meat follow two clear food trends this year: being more natural and health-promoting. But whether it tastes delicious or not? This is a matter of different tastes.

• "Liquid Spirulina" instead of red wine

"Liquid Spirulina" is similar in appearance to red wine. Spirulina, which is obtained from microalgae, was known as a dry food supplement to be taken in tablet form. The extract is said to prevent diseases and aid in weight loss.

Olives in the form of a snack - that's what the world has been waiting for. "Coolives" is a "cold olive" from a factory in Córdoba, Spain. According to the factory's website, it is responding to customer requests to offer olives in different flavors to be eaten on the go, in sustainable packaging.
