What was she doing #Malakhova # on the crashed Ukrainian plane

According to press reports, one of the victims of the Ukrainian plane that was shot down in Iran was a Ukrainian businesswoman who ran two companies suspected by the United Nations of links to the mysterious arms trade fueling the war in Libya, amid questions about the reason for Olina Malakhova's visit to Tehran.

The two companies, which were Olina Malakhova (38 years), run by "Ukraine-based" SkyAviaTrans, and "Volaris Business" based in Scotland, which are specialized in air freight.

The two companies own only one plane, but they were destroyed in Libya in August last year in a strike launched by Haftar forces while landing at Misrata airport, which is under the control of the internationally recognized government of reconciliation.

At the time, the company "SkyAviaTrans" reported that the plane was carrying humanitarian aid from Ankara, which was supported by the Ukrainian government, but Haftar's forces stated that the plane was carrying military equipment.

A UN investigation also suspected that the plane was carrying military materials such as the body and wings of drones.

It is not known what Malakhova was doing in Tehran. A spokesman for "SkyAviaTrans" company said that the company had no business in Iran, and was not aware that Malakhova was present in Iran at that time.

The spokesman added that Malakhova spent the last months focusing on providing funds to replace the plane that was destroyed in Libya.

The flight records obtained by CNN from the flight tracking website, flightradar24, showed that the plane made more than 30 flights between Ukraine, Turkey and Libya between May and August 2019 before its destruction.

Prior to that, the plane had carried out 13 flights during November and December 2018 between the Emirates and Aden in Yemen, where the UAE is engaging in a Saudi-led military alliance to confront the Iranian-backed Houthis, according to CNN.

The plane made about six flights to Afghanistan in the same year, in conjunction with the Emirates' announcement of a new project to train Afghan forces.
