City of Disneyland closed due to corona virus

To help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, which spread in Wuhan, China, and killed 25 people, the Walt Disney City, Shanghai Disneyland, has announced it will close its doors from Saturday.

For its part, Shanghai Disney Resort, which operates Shanghai Disney, said on its website: "In response to efforts to prevent and control the spread of the disease, and in order to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees, Shanghai Disney Resort temporarily closes Shanghai Disneyland."

She said: "We will continue to monitor the situation closely and announce the date of the resumption of work after ensuring the integrity of the situation."

Today, Friday, in China, a week-long holiday commemorates the lunar New Year, a period during which Shanghai Disney is often crowded with visitors.

Many stores and offices, including retail stores, airlines, travel agencies and hotels, have been on high alert after the outbreak of the Coruna virus overshadowed the holiday week's plans.

In turn, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed in South Korea today, Friday, the appearance of the second case of the new strain of the Coronavirus in its territory.

In the United States, the first case of the Wuhan coronavirus was confirmed last Tuesday in Washington state, belonging to a man in his thirties who is currently being quarantined, which raised fears of the spread of the disease across the country.
