Emirates Airlines announces the start of its daily direct flights to Israel

Emirates Airlines said, in a statement Thursday, that it will start providing a daily direct flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, starting from December 6.

The company explained that the move "comes as the United Arab Emirates and Israel continue to develop greater economic cooperation to drive growth across a range of sectors, in addition to enhancing trade flows between the two countries."

She pointed out that "with the new daily flights, Israeli travelers will be able to go to Dubai safely, smoothly and efficiently, and through Dubai, to the Emirates global network of more than 120 destinations."

And she added that the new flights will contribute to "strengthening contacts between the business communities in both countries, establishing new channels of communication, and creating investment opportunities across industries," with "visa-free travel between the two countries."

The Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, and the low-cost airline "Fly Dubai", have started, during the past months, to operate regular flights to Israel.

On September 15, in Washington, under the patronage and presence of former US President Donald Trump, Israel signed an agreement to normalize relations with the UAE, within the framework of the so-called Ibrahim Agreements.

The UAE is the first Gulf country and the third Arab country to sign a normalization agreement with Israel, after Jordan (1994) and Egypt (1979), followed by Bahrain, Sudan and finally Morocco.

And "Emirates Airlines" is the largest air carrier in the Middle East, and the largest operator of the large "Airbus 380" aircraft, and the group had previously announced plans to start diversifying its fleet and buying smaller aircraft.
