On Monday, The Wall Street Journal published a special report regarding the great interest that a Saudi restaurant received at the Expo in Dubai, which began weeks ago.
The report indicates that the "international fair", which achieved great success in the past to promote burgers and ice cream, drew attention this year with the Saudi "nuggets".
And "Expo 2020", which was postponed due to the Corona pandemic, is the first exhibition within the so-called "global exhibition" to be held in the Middle East, and this year it includes restaurants and companies providing technical services, tourism and others.
The Wall Street Journal says that one of the most "exciting" offers this year is Saudi chicken pieces, offered by the famous "Al Baik" restaurant chain, whose exhibition in Dubai witnessed the longest queues of customers.
On social media, visitors to the restaurant shared their experiences, and a foreign correspondent based in the UAE wrote that the restaurant witnessed the "longest queue" during the launch of the exhibition on the first of last October.
The Wall Street Journal notes that "Al Baik" is one of the few restaurants that used barriers to organize queues and hired security personnel at the entrance.
In describing the event, Al-Riyadh newspaper said that customers left about 200 restaurants in the exhibition and waited for a long time to get the "Al-Baik" meal. She pointed out that the queues in the restaurant lobby called the security men to organize the lines, while in front of the most famous international restaurants the number of waiting did not exceed 10 people.
Karim Hajjali, CEO of the company that owns the Al Baik branch in the Emirates, told the American newspaper that this high demand for the restaurant in Dubai "leads him to believe that it may be a starting point in the rest of the world as well."
"It's definitely worth all the hype," said 18-year-old Indian student Tejaswi Nagaram, who went to the restaurant for the first time.
