Garmin, a US-based wearable technology company, has introduced a smartwatch that can monitor fetal and maternal health during pregnancy, the first of its kind.
The company has included in its watch - which bore its name - many features, which the mother can use to monitor the health of the fetus, and at the same time doctors can monitor the health of the mother and the fetus remotely.
According to what was published by the "Technology Inquirer" website, today, Sunday, the watch comes with a smart mobile application through which mothers can access weight regulation data, and receive advice on taking vitamins and foods.
The app also allows the mother to enter and track blood glucose levels, and this feature provides weight loss advice and sleep recommendations.
In light of the level of information collected by the watch, the application provides instructions about any of the sports that should be performed by the mother, which contribute to the improvement of her health and the health of the fetus.
Watch users receive weekly updates and advice regarding their pregnancy and the typical symptoms that accompany certain stages.
