A report by the American "Forbes" magazine warned that applications on Android phones could expose millions of users to penetration.
The report said that these applications put users at risk of stealing their data, such as passwords, financial data, and viewing the content of their e-mail.
The report pointed out that the vulnerability does not exist only in a specific application, but also in thousands of applications, even those developed by Google.
Hackers can implant malware on phones through these applications, and the method may be images, text links, or e-mail attachments.
A researcher in the field of cybersecurity, Aviran Hazum, said that the threat of these applications is "serious and can be easily exploited", although this has not happened yet.
Hazum added that users should be concerned that their data inside these applications is vulnerable to penetration, or that the applications can obtain it.
Hazum pointed out that using code in one of these applications would expose all messages to the risk of theft.
A Forbes report said that the vulnerability was named "CVE-2020-8913", and was classified as "very dangerous."
The "Check Point" cybersecurity company stated that there are famous applications such as Viber, Yang Pro, Moovit, and Microsoft Edge, among the applications that have been tested, and it was found that they are vulnerable to penetration.
