New actions from Google starting from 2021

Google announced, through its official blog, on Wednesday, changes that will affect the services of Google Photos (Google Photos), Google Drive (Google Drive) and the mail service (GMAIL), to start working on the first of June of 2021.

The company said it will give users 15 gigabytes of free storage in the three services, which it considered "will last for several years for users," while more than 15 gigabytes will be a paid service.

As of next June, any new image or video uploaded with high quality in "Google Photos" will be counted within the free storage quota, and if it exceeds the permitted limit, the subscriber will have to choose one of the packages. These packages start from 100 GB and will be available at $ 2 a month.

But the company will exclude all high-quality photos and videos, which the user will keep a backup copy of before June 1, meaning that the existing content will not be included within the 15 GB.

And Google also announced that it will delete accounts that are inactive or that exceed their storage capacity through these services for a period of 24 months, but it will not take the step before notifying the user several times that it is about to do so.

To ensure that none of the aforementioned services is interrupted, it is advised to enter these services periodically over the phone or the web.

Google explained that its new procedure comes to meet the growing demand, noting that more than 4.3 million gigabytes are added through the services, "Gmail" and "Drive" only daily.
