Brent oil is making gains this week


 Oil prices declined during trading on Friday, giving up its previous gains in the session, despite the dollar's decline against most major currencies, and crude is heading towards weekly gains.

The "OPEC" has raised its forecast about global demand for crude by about 70 thousand barrels from last month's expectations, to reach 5.95 million barrels per day in 2021.



And government data released today revealed that the real reading of the Chinese GDP (the second largest economy in the world) recorded a growth of 18.3% during the first quarter, a growth consistent with analysts' expectations.



On the other hand, the dollar index fell (against a basket of major currencies) by 15:46 GMT by 0.1% to 91.5 points, and recorded the highest level at 91.8 points and the lowest level at 91.4 points.



In terms of trading, US Nymex crude futures for May delivery by 15:44 GMT fell 0.4% to $ 63.1 a barrel, and crude recorded the highest price at $ 63.8 and the lowest price at $ 62.8.



Brent crude for June delivery fell 0.1% to $ 66.8 a barrel, and crude recorded the highest price at $ 67.3 and the lowest price at $ 66.4.
