New coach for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich announced on Tuesday that the current coach of Leipzig, Julian Nagelsmann (33 years), will be at the head of the technical staff of the Bavarian team, succeeding Hansi Flick, who announced his intention to leave the end of the current season, in a deal that may be the most expensive in history.

The Bavarian club said in a statement that "Bayern signed a contract with Julian Nagelsmann to be his new coach. The coach, who hails from Bavaria, will leave Leipzig to join Munich at the start of the next season on July 1, 2021, and his contract with the German champions will be for a period of five years until June 30, 2026." .

The club did not specify how much it would pay Nagsman, but German media indicated that Bayern would pay about 25 million euros, including bonuses, to obtain the services of Nagelsmann, whose contract with his current team expires in 2023.

Bayern Munich, the German and European champions, announced that they have signed a contract with Julian Nagelsmann, coach of Razen Ball Sport Leipzig, to take over the leadership from next season, succeeding Hans Flick for five years.

Nagelsmann coached Leipzig, second-placed in the Bundesliga, in 2019 and led them to the semi-finals of the Champions League last year.

Nagelsmann, who became the youngest coach in the Bundesliga when he took over at Hoffenheim five years ago, was seen as a future Bayern coach.

Bayern president Herbert Heiner said, "Julian Nagelsmann represents a new generation of coaches, and despite his young age, he has already had an impressive career and we are convinced that he will continue the successes of the past years."

Nagelsmann led Leipzig to third place in the German League in his first season and qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League, and his team still has a chance to win the league title this season as it is seven points behind Bayern with three games remaining.
