American Airlines decided to suspend the service of alcoholic beverages in the main cabin on its flights until January 18, 2022, when the authorization to wear a muzzle on public transportation in America will expire.
According to CNN, the airline said in a memo to employees: "We are doing everything we can to help create a safe environment for our crew and customers on board our aircraft."
And earlier this summer, American Airlines suspended serving alcoholic beverages in the main cabin of its flights.
The airlines also planned to resume service on September 13, when the authorization to wear a muzzle on public transport was originally scheduled to expire.
The Transportation Security Administration also announced that it will extend the authorization to wear masks until January 18, "to reduce the spread of Covid-19 infection on public transportation." Corona injuries in the country have increased in recent weeks due to the spread of the “Delta” mutant.
American Airlines says it's helping reduce alcohol sales at airports, as part of the Federal Aviation Administration's crackdown on troubled airline passengers.
The Federal Aviation Administration announced 682 investigations into potential violations of federal laws, and the move comes based on 3,900 reports of resulting accidents.
It is noteworthy that many airlines suspended sales of alcoholic beverages for the first time in the spring of 2020, and this step aims to reduce interaction between crew and passengers, and to ensure safer flights.
Last Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration proposed new fines of more than $500,000 to troubled airline passengers who refused to wear masks, assaulted flight attendants, and threw baggage across the cabin.
