The company said that, following the successful trials last April, on selected routes, from its center in Dubai, the company continued to gradually expand the experimental “IATA Passport” solution, to include 12 tracks in June, noting that it had recently signed a contract with the International Transport Association. Air Force (IATA) to adopt the solution across its global network.


It is noteworthy that the "IATA Passport" application is now available to Emirates airline customers traveling in 50 cities, and is expected to include more than 120 destinations during the next month.


On Thursday, Emirates Chief Operating Officer, Adel Al Reda, said that the company continues to invest in technology and digital solutions, such as the IATA passport, in order to offer customers seamless flights and “contactless” experiences, and airport teams are empowered to deal with document checks efficiently and in compliance. with regulatory requirements.


In turn, Nicholas Crane, Senior Vice President of Operations, Safety and Security at the International Air Transport Association, said, "Emirates' accreditation of the IATA passport across its global network will enhance the role of the application as a key tool in managing the large numbers of health certificates required for travel, in order to save, manage and process data automatically. and in a safe manner.”


He indicated that this will allow passengers, airlines, airports and government authorities to quickly and easily complete procedures and avoid waiting in queues to check documents.


It is noteworthy that among the most prominent features of the “IATA Passport” application is that it provides passengers with accurate information about travel requirements, examinations and vaccinations for their trips, as well as presenting them to approved Corona virus examination centers at the departure sites, in addition to providing digital management of their travel documents, such as test results and vaccination certificates. and others.
