A man armed with a bow and arrows killed 5 people and injured several others on Wednesday in Kongsberg, in south-eastern Norway.
The incident happened shortly before 6.30 p.m. (4.30 p.m. GMT) in the city of 23,000 inhabitants, located about 80 kilometers from Oslo. After the incident, the suspect was arrested, police said.
"Given the course of events, it is natural to assess whether it is a terrorist attack," said a local police official, Øyvind Aas, during a press briefing, before continuing: " It is too early to comment on its motives ”.
Prime Minister Erna Solberg "These events are shaking us," she said while at the same time the police asked the inhabitants of Kongsberg to stay at home.
