Liverpool and its guest Manchester City ended in a 2-2 draw at the top of the seventh stage of the English Premier League, on Sunday.
At Anfield, Senegalese Sadio Mane (59) and Egyptian Mohamed Salah (76) scored the Liverpool double, while Phil Foden (69) and Belgium's Kevin De Bruyne (81) scored City's goals.
Liverpool began to return in the second half, starting with a powerful shot from the Portuguese Diogo Jota from the edge of the penalty area in the 50th minute, which was blocked by Braille goalkeeper Ederson.
Liverpool managed to open the scoring after a quick start from Salah on the right side, before passing through the area to Mane, who was alone with Ederson and hit the net (59).
Guardiola made the first substitution for City in the 66th minute by introducing Raheem Sterling at the expense of Jack Grealish, and Klopp followed by pushing the Brazilian Firmino at the expense of Jota.
And City managed to equalize with a powerful ground kick from Foden (69).
Liverpool returned to advance in the 76th minute, after Salah manipulated the defense before breaking into the penalty area and hitting a powerful ball into the net.
And it was only five minutes until City snatched the equalizer, after De Bruyne hit a ball from the outskirts of the penalty area, collided with Cameroonian Joel Matip and deceived the Brazilian Alison and into the net.
Klopp said after the match that "the level in the first half was very average from our side, maybe below average, we were very passive with and without the ball (...) The worst 45 minutes we played against them."
For his part, Guardiola said, "If I'm asked about the point we won, I'm obviously happy, and if I'm asked about the performance, I'm more than satisfied (...) We came back from 1-0 and 2-1 and the team showed great character."
