Did Bayern Munich start preparing for the departure of Lewandowski?

Bavarian striker Robert Lewandowski has long been said to want to leave Munich. But this time things seem more serious, especially with Bayern seeking to include a top-class striker to its ranks.

Bayern Munich Football Club, that team that does not seek at the start of each season but the treble, has nothing left for it today, after its humiliating exit from the second round at the hands of Monchengladbach, with five clean goals in the cup competitions, but to work to grab its tenth title in a row in the local league and win Champions League title.

At the level of the Bundesliga, the Bavarian recently restored things to normal, when it strengthened the difference from the lead (a total of 28 points) between it and its chaser, Borussia Dortmund, to four points, by winning Saturday (November 6, 2021), over Freiburg with two goals against an orphan goal. A week before that, he knocked out Union Berlin with five goals to two, with which he treated the injury of his exit from the cup competition.

As for the Champions League, it is close to qualifying for the round of 16 and taking the lead in the group, noting that the goal this season is to raise the two-eared cup, "no matter how hot the competition this time," according to echoes arriving from "Alliance Arena".

Lewandowski is considering leaving

No two would argue that the Bavarian striking force bears the name of Robert Lewandowski. This is the attacker who does not tire of showing his heels, achieving numbers after another. Nevertheless, it seems that the Polish international is considering leaving Bayern at the latest at the end of the season, according to private Sky channel, while his contract with Bayern is extended until the end of the 2023 season, as reported by the German “Trasvermarkt” website.

Lewandowski's departure will inevitably be painful for the defender of the Bundesliga title, but the club must in any case prepare for that. Which is exactly what is happening, according to the Spanish website "fichajes.net" and statements by Italian journalist Paolo Barggia. The two sources together revealed that Bayern is seeking the services of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, and that he has begun to move practically in this direction.

According to "Transfermarkt", the market value of the 22-year-old is about 60 million euros, knowing that the midfielder moved from French Lille to Napoli, Italy, last year, with a value of 70 million euros. Since the beginning of the season, his new team has scored nine goals in ten matches.

100 million euros

Victor Osimhen is seen as one of the rising and exceptional talents with tremendous potential to be polished. Napoli had signed a contract with the African striker until the end of the 2025 season, which shows that the former is betting in the long term on this player and will not easily accept allowing him to leave. But journalist Paolo Barggia believes that 100 million euros is the amount that will convince the Italian club to accept the deal, and there is no doubt that it is an amount that is not easy for Bayern.

On the other hand, the talk about the departure of Lewandowski has recently become more serious. The latter has repeatedly expressed his deep-seated desire to change and move to one of the European roles. Reaching the age of 33 may expedite this step. In any case, Bayern will be forced to sign a multi-millionaire striker.
