The rapper has indeed sold his clip "TN" in the form of 25,000 NFT, in five animated cards, each sold 5,000 copies on a dedicated site. Buyers could preview images of the new track, and other exclusives, depending on the platform that offered them.
In the case of Booba, the buyers allowed him to pocket 150 ETH, a cryptocurrency whose average price this week, according to the magazine Stratégies, amounted to a total of 150 units at 564,000 euros.
In recent hours, the price of ETH has climbed to the point where 150 units represent 614,000 euros.
THE ART OF RENEWING
For information, as CNEWS explained, NFTs (for Non Fungible Token) "work on the same principle as cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. They are therefore forgery-proof, indelible and non-reproducible, which gives them their value. Unlike cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, they are not interchangeable, each being unique (not fungible). This allows their buyers to actually own the rights to a digital work, whether it is an image, an animation or a video ”.
“The artist and author of the NFT work will generally put his creation up for sale and decide the number of tokens that will attest to its authenticity. He can for example sell one or five or even a hundred tokens of his work, so as many versions of it available, but you should know that the less there is, the more the work is rare and therefore the more expensive it is ” .
By turning to the NFTs, Booba, 44 years and twenty-seven years of career, made the bet of constantly renewing himself in addition to shining the spotlight on a new world which ultimately remains very codified. And "The Duke of Boulogne" obviously intends not to stop there since he will give, on September 3, 2022, a concert at the Stade de France. On this occasion, one of the NFT buyers will have the chance to be drawn to gain VIP access.
