A Spanish company seeks to strengthen its position to obtain a new train deal TALGO ONCF MOROCCO
Sources revealed that officials of the Spanish group “Talgo” are expected to hold a meeting with officials of the National Railway Office, to present their project as part of the race to win the high-speed train deal, Kenitra-Marrakesh.
The Spanish company Talgo, which specializes in the manufacture of trains, is among the names strongly nominated to win this tender that Morocco put forward to various international companies to purchase new high-speed trains.
According to informed sources, Talgo is seeking to present two of its best trains (Avril/EMU) to the attention of the National Railways Office, so that the speed of the EMU train will reach 160 km per hour, while the speed of the Avril will reach 380 km per hour.
Rabih Lakhlaia, Director General of the National Railways Office, had previously revealed the Kingdom’s desire to purchase 100 new trains, by convincing the companies that will receive this deal to build factories in Morocco.
