French Health Minister Annis Paison said on Saturday that five Britons had been diagnosed with the Corona virus in France after dealing with a person who was in Singapore.
She added that there is a child among the injured who she said are not in serious condition. This brings the total number of people infected with the virus in France to 11.
The minister said the newly infected group formed a "cluster, a cluster around one original case".
"The original case grew to our knowledge last night. It is for a Briton who returned from Singapore, where he stayed from 20 to 23 January. He arrived in France on January 24 and stayed for four days."
She added that the new cases were in the mountainous Savoie region in eastern France.
