The German Weather Service has warned of a strong storm called "Sabin" that will hit Germany within the next 48 hours. Road and rail traffic across the country is likely to be severely affected by significant traffic delays.

The German Meteorological Agency announced that citizens in Germany should be prepared for the coming Sunday and Monday for a severe storm, which may reach the level of the hurricane and strongly affect the transportation situation in the country. "It will be a serious storm," meteorologist Andreas Friedrich of the German Meteorological Service said on Friday, warning of the consequences of this storm caused by a large depression. The name "Zabinh" was given the name "Storm".

German railways "Deutsche Bahn" said that the regional and remote train lines could be strongly affected on Sunday evening, especially in the north and west of the country. The authority added, "We advise travelers who decided to travel between Sunday 2/9 and Tuesday 2/11/2020 to post their travel dates to other times."

The authority said that a hurricane from the Atlantic Ocean, due to a severe air depression, is expected to hit central and northern Germany at noon next Sunday. The authority continued to say: "Winter hurricanes are expected to blow at a speed of 120 km / hour on the North Sea coast." Because of the expected hurricane, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Ministry of Education notified schools and their operators that schools could be closed.

According to the German newspaper Bild, the storm's speed may reach 118 km / h in some states, such as Alzar Land or Bayern, and the storm will be accompanied by a flow of very cold polar air, rain showers and thunderstorms.
