He committed 90 sexual assaults on his patients

The doctor, Manish Shah, assaulted 23 women, in addition to a fifteen-year-old girl while working in London, as he performed a number of tests to satisfy his desires and without medical need.

The court learned that he had taken advantage of the health of American star Angelina Jolie and the death of English actress Jade Goody to intimidate his patients about their health.

Judge Ann Molyneux described him as a doctor "practicing deception, taking advantage of his job," and she told him "I created stories that crept into minds and caused fear."

Shah had persuaded his patients to perform unnecessary examinations between May 2009 and June 2013.

The judge told him: "Your behavior was not only caused by sexual desire, but was also driven by your desire to control and sometimes humiliate the woman."

His youngest victim explained to the court that she had become anxious, afraid and shivering when a doctor could be visited after she was attacked by Shah.

She said that her feelings for men changed, and she had concerns about seeing her as a "sexual object."

The fifty-year-old doctor claimed that what he had done was part of "preventive medicine" procedures, but he was convicted of 25 sexual assaults against six victims at the Mauni Medical Center.

The court heard how the doctor chose specific conditions from among his patients because of the age or medical history associated with cancer.

Shah talked about Angelina Jolie's mastectomy for fear of cancer, and asked a woman if she would prefer to have her breasts examined.
