England's clubs officially withdraw from the European Super League

English clubs participating in the newly created "European Super League" football tournament announced their official withdrawal on Tuesday evening, less than 48 hours after the establishment of the new tournament.

"Manchester City Football Club can confirm that it has officially taken steps to withdraw from the group that draws up plans for the European Super League," the Premier League leaders said in a statement.

Manchester City followed arch-rivals Manchester City, in addition to Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, amid assurances about Chelsea's withdrawal as well.

The decision of the European clubs comes after the increasing public and official pressure by the European federations to reject the competition, and their support for the continuation of work to develop the Champions League competition.

The world of the round-table is witnessing a state of anticipation after 12 clubs announced the establishment of the European Super League to replace the European Champions League, which was rejected by the various federations, led by the International and European Federation.

The founding clubs of the new tournament are: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid (Spain), Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan (Italy), in addition to the 6 England clubs.
