The Emirates announces the return of life to normal

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, announced that the UAE has emerged from the Corona pandemic, after life returned to normal in the Gulf state.

Mohamed bin Zayed said, "The health situation in the country is safe and reassuring, and we came out of the Covid-19 pandemic in good health, and we benefited from this challenge with many lessons and experiences," according to what was reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

He added, when receiving a number of members of the ruling family and senior state officials: "...I want to assure the return of life to normal in the state, whether in work, study, or the daily customs and practices of society, taking into account the precautionary reasons and taking into account some change in our life behaviors."

Infections with coronavirus inside the UAE have gradually decreased over the past months. And the Gulf state has recorded less than 200 cases of Covid-19 during the past three days in all parts of the Emirates.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi attributed the reasons for the return of life to normal to three reasons: the availability of vaccines, the continuity of examinations, and the availability of modern treatments.

The UAE has one of the fastest vaccination campaigns in the world. More than 20 million doses of vaccine were given at a rate of more than 84 percent - to people who received both doses - out of a total population of about 9 million people.

He said, "The year 2020 was difficult and witnessed great challenges...but the UAE was able to be one of the first countries to emerge from the crisis...".

He pointed out that the decrease in injuries in the country to less than 500 cases, shows that "Corona is under control and less dangerous than it was."
