A troubled passenger causes a passenger plane to make an emergency landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport, after his behavior sparked a security concern and potential threat, prompting police to detain the passenger for questioning.
According to NBC, a Port Authority spokesperson said the plane made an emergency landing after passengers reported suspicious behavior from someone on the flight.

And Republic Airlines said in a statement that one of the passengers on the “American Eagle” plane, Flight 4817, heading from Indianapolis to New York City, behaved suspiciously.
A statement by the airline stated that a Republic Airlines plane was exposed to an emergency and landed at LaGuardia Airport in New York without damage, in response to the behavior of passengers near the end of the flight.
Local media quoted various passengers as saying that there were suspicions of a possible bomb threat or other dangerous behavior from one of the passengers. There were 76 passengers on board the plane.
No injuries were reported in the aftermath of the accident, and nothing was found on the plane, according to CBS.
Meanwhile, clips that were widely circulated on social media showed airport security men at the moment they arrested the passenger, who caused panic among the flight passengers.
New York Governor Cathy Hochhol said on Twitter that officials are "monitoring the situation, and there is no reason to believe there is any danger to New Yorkers at this time."
For its part, LaGuardia Airport confirmed in a statement on Twitter that "the problem related to a passenger who disrupted the Republic Airlines flight was resolved, the passengers were evacuated, and the airport returned to work normally."
It is noteworthy that the pilot informed the authorities on the ground of the accident, and when the plane landed on the runway, the emergency door was opened to evacuate the passengers from the plane, while the passenger allegedly behaving suspiciously was detained, and interviews were conducted with him, in addition to interviews with some other passengers.
