International airline ticket prices drop to historic levels

  There is a huge opportunity for Americans looking to spend their Thanksgiving holiday abroad this year at competitive prices to some of the popular destinations around the world, according to a report published by Hopper.



He explained that travelers can get better flight prices for international flights than domestic ones, if they book as soon as possible before the price hike with the approaching holiday season.


According to the app, prices for international airline tickets are at their lowest as the holiday season approaches. November 24, the day before Thanksgiving, is when travelers can expect to find the cheapest international flights.


A traveler is expected to pay about $620 for an international round-trip airfare during Thanksgiving, which is 17% less than in 2019, when comparable fares were around $750. However, you might pay close to $820 if you wait until Thanksgiving week.


As for the offers, the report indicated that it is possible to travel from the United States to the charming city of Venice, for only $589 one way. For island lovers and short domestic flights, they can go to St. Thomas Island for $366 or to the southern Caribbean island of Aruba for $878.


And for those who dream of traveling to Portugal and listening to fado music, airline tickets from the United States to Lisbon are down 30% from 2019, to $456.


And according to data from the Hopper app, a delay in booking could make you pay up to 40% more expensive prices.


Travelers this year can also expect offers on Thanksgiving holiday travel to Cancun, Rio de Janeiro, Geneva, Cairo and Dubai, according to the travel app. The average fares for flights between the US and Cancun come to about $338, while it's $687 for a round trip to Dubai.
